BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Present at the Sagemcom stand at the Broadband World Forum in Berlin, Otodo unveils its new smart home solution aimed at telecommunications providers.
“For the first time ever, smart speakers will be capable of interacting with multiple older devices that were not meant for being controlled by voice. This increases the possibilities of home automatization”
At the Broadband World Forum in Berlin, Otodo revealed the latest version of its universal smart home platform, introducing the possibility of controlling the home by voice. Otodo is now the first multi-brand platform compatible with the market’s major smart home speakers, while also offering its own autonomous vocal recognition system.
Connected to the cloud by Wi-Fi, the solution communicates with not only the latest connected devices, but also traditional remote-controlled devices. “For the first time ever, smart speakers will be capable of interacting with multiple older devices that were not meant for being controlled by voice. This increases the possibilities of home automatization,” declares Eric Denoyer, founder of Otodo.
Otodo, the solution for a rapid arrival on the smart home market
Meant for commercialization as a white label product, the new version of the Otodo platform is an opportunity for telecommunications providers to position themselves on the markets, at a time when the wave of smart speakers in the US and Europe is signalling a rapid expansion of the smart home market.
This new version will notably be made available for Sagemcom, the world’s 3rd biggest supplier of high-value broadband boxes (modems, cable, DSL) for telecommunications operators and a partner of Otodo. Sagemcom’s acquisition of a stake in Otodo in March 2018 strengthened the partnership between the two companies for commercializing smart home solutions to telecommunications providers in more than 40 countries.
